Description
An adapter that converts the screw-on connector found on Dearmond Rhythm Chief pickup control boxes to a standard quarter-inch output mounted to your guitar. No more fragile custom cables!
A few mounting options:
- Tailpiece mount. If you have a trapeze-style tailpiece you can use the tailpiece mount. Make sure the widest part of your tailpiece is less than 56mm wide.
- L-7 mount. Same as the tailpiece mount, but a little smaller, specifically for Gibson L-7 style and similar tailpieces. The span is 44mm.
- Floating bridge mount: This mount works great for most archtops and other guitars with a floating bridge. Mounts to the strings behind the bridge and points horizontally. Might be a bit tight to get a cable to the jack on 16″ scale archtops, but having a right-angle cable would help a lot.
I successfully test fit these on my personal Rhythm Chief rig, but in some cases the thickness of the solder bead can vary and might prevent the threads from catching. In that case you may need to file it a bit flatter. See this diagram:
