Description
Add a standard 1/4″ output jack to your pickup of choice without drilling a hole in your guitar. This jack is made out of flexible and durable TPU material. It flexes and grips a standard trapeze style tailpiece (early Gibson L-5, and L-50) and is even confirmed fit for Epiphone Frequensator tailpieces. Works great when paired with a vintage archtop guitar and DeArmond pickup!
For the basic variant, the span of the mount measures 58mm across. So make sure the width between the tines halfway down the length of the tailpiece is less than that and it should work well. I have confirmed this fits down to L-7 style tailpieces.
This jack will require some assembly. Remove the cap. Use a pen to push the jack out of the TPU sleeve. Strip your wire and thread it through the cap. Then solder the wire to the jack and push it back into housing with a screwdriver. See product image gallery for the wiring of hot and ground on the jack.
